I m so pissed off with the "Fanastic" customer service of SQ!
The tot of my $$ (taxes i paid) used to operate SQ made my blood boiled even further.
I wrote in many times to SQ to different depts to request for extra baggage allowance. And i got very very BAD CUSTOMER service, their attitude sucks and I was being SNUBBED!!!!
The latest email made me BOILED BIG TIME, they gave me a STRAIGHT NO and nevermind, they even provide me with 2 urls on Excess baggage charges & the baggage allowance given for each travel class. Sheesh, they really think that I m an IDIOT! If i m unaware about the excess baggage charges & my weight allowance for Economy class, I will not write in to them for REQUEST of excess baggage allowance...
Seriously, I think SQ needs to improve their quality of customer service. They don't know how to manage customers and their ENGLISH SUCKS BIG TIME!

Swine Flu
Just saw in the papers that there are 2 confirmed cases of Swine flu in London.
Mum had asked me to check with SQ this morning on changing the flight dates for the London trip due to that. SQ reply was NO and they assured that it is still safe in London.
Ah fry sms me and advised me not to go London as her bro (a doc) confirmed that this virus is WORSE than SARS. Being the sweet Ah fry, she even gave me SMS updates on the Swine flu virus' situation in Europe.
Checked with Sis at UK side, she told me that its all under control and we need to be careful. Amsterdam & Paris' trips are still as planned but no trips to other parts of Europe.
I will continue to monitor the situation and decide later our decision to travel. Moi's belief in life, whatever will be, will be.

Fengshui
Last Saturday, I got ah fry to pop by my place to find the best place for Ms Piggy to sleep.
Unfortunately, Mum was there when ah Fry was doing her job. Last night, Mum nagged at me for my over-belief in Fengshui. She told me that how Piglet turns out to be is how we educate her and not any fengshui stuff. She kept on nagging at me and i just sat there silently not giving her any response.
Frankly speaking, the first Fengshui consultant whom i engaged. I was NOT CONVINCED by his advice all based on my GUT FEELINGS and logic. He made the assumption that there will be old folks (meaning my parents in laws) living with us as they are there with Pirate King when he came over for site visit. So based on his assumption, he advised what the furniture layout should be in the room.
When i saw the layout, I dunno how to describe my feelings and I only feel that the arrangement is odd and illogical. He kept on advising me to buy certain things to put at those unfavourable places and I can tell that his expression is BUEY SONG when both of us have no intention to do that.
He also told us that couples who lived in units like ours will have problem concieving. Moi unit faces the carpark! Well, I was quite skeptical of this and ah Fry further reinforced my point when she told me about those families in her neighbourhood staying near carpark having dozens of children.
Fengshui will help but its not the WONDER DRUG or SOLUTION to all. That's my belief and most of the time, Fengshui is actually a living science, it just further reinforces what the relationship that humans have with Mother nature.
So my next task is to clear our existing study room and convert it into Piglet's bedroom!

The Bite
Ms Piggy gave me a love bite on my finger last night!
My finger bled but her bite did not break the skin. My first reflex was to slap her but I did not. Thank god for that!
I just carried her back to Ah Bond's bed (we were staying at Mum's place last nite) and I scolded her for biting my finger. She did not protest or what, she immediately went to her sleeping position and allowed me to pat her to sleep.
This little piggy of mine!

Packed Sunday!
Yesterday, we attended 2 celebrations for lunch & dinner.
Lunch - Kayden's 1st Month celebration
Kayden is my eldest Uncle on Dad's side grandson! It was held at Caribbean Residences Function Room. This condo is located besides Harbourfront! It is a super ATAS condo, most of the residents are ang mohs or expats! My cousin managed to rent an unit there and we were so impressed with the unit! Furthermore, rental of an unit is only $200 per day! Its even cheaper than renting a chalet as the unit is fully furnished and has 3 bedrooms! Not to mention the fanastic location and view there!
Ms Piggy has a blast there, everyone treats her like a princess. The best part is, one of my cousin's guest has 3 sons and she is very happy to see Claire. Her sons have a PSP each and Piglet loves all these gadets! So this lady told her son to play with her and even let her play with her son's PSP! Her youngest son is the one that Claire tried to be friendly with! (Boy chasing again!)
I was unhappy that she let Claire played with the PSP, I feel that its BEST TO AVOID ALL THESE GAMES for children as its bad for their eyesight and there is more to life than games!
Dinner - My Father in law Birthday celebration
It was held at the Putien Restaurant in Vivo City. The food was the usual but my Father in law is happy that all his grandchildren are there especially now Piglet is the favourite as she is the youngest of all the grandchildren!

New Place!
I felt like i m starting a new job today!
Sitting as my new workstation (as per above pix) inside the Fish Tank, it takes a while to get used to. I can see people walking up and down (the glass wall is just in front of me). You can feel the still air inside the Fish Tank if noone talks. We can't be too loud as the directors will be able to hear our laughter and stuff. SS even asked the receptionist to "MONITOR" our noise level. Well, the directors are aware of this before they told us to MOVE OVER!
This is the view of our workstations from the glass door. Ya, the view seems great but dun be fooled! Also, the lights are too bright that it is too glaring for me. My colleagues want to swop seats with me as mine is the best in the sense that SS can't see what's on my monitor.

Screaming Piggy, Emo Grandma
Mum called me in the afternoon and she dun sound good. She told me that she felt like strangling Claire!
Apparently Ms Piggy is up to no good, she simply screams if things dun go her way and the worst thing is she dun let Mum do her stuff. She will pull Mum away from what she is doing! In fact, I could hear Mum's tears over the phone and Claire screaming in the background. Mum put down the phone and I called her back immediately.
I spoke to Claire and told her to behave herself. Hopefully she listens to me! Sis just sms me from UK and told me to give Mum a bunch of flowers to cheer her up! I really want to kick myself in the ass for not knowing how to cheer Mum up!

I M NOT PAID to be A CLEANING LADY!
Grr, SS made me so pissed off!
I was reading a book during lunch at my workstation. SS said to me, "J, why don't you go start cleaning the cabinets in the Fish tank first? Since you re so free that you can read the book!"
This office move made me see the true colours of the management. A simple thing like office move can be made so complicated and some idiots just sought to make it even more complicated. Perhaps all these are signs to alert me to move on.
I m in a dilemma, no company is willing to wait a person for 2 months (I have to give 2 months notice) and plus the economy in such a bad shape, lagi worst.

New clothes for Ms Piggy!
Hehe, we went to Raffles City shopping centre for dinner last night.
Popped by this store, DPAM. It is a French brand and their children's clothes are well designed, made of quality material but EXPENSIVE. Cheapskate Mummy like me can only drool and hunt for bargains when they have 50% sale!
Hehe, I bought this set for Claire with Mum's approval. Mum will be helping me to change the elastic band of the shorts as they are loose.

Fashion
I just dun understand certain's people fashion sense!
I m lucky to have Mum who is a seamstress. Mum will stop me from going out if she sees me in horrible mismatch of clothes, she will get me to change into something better. This applies to my siblings and Claire too!
Imagine my shock yesterday evening when I saw this colleague of mine (she just got promoted to the level of a manager) in this dress. The dress is a pretty one but its one size too tight for her. Her boobs are pressed and its so awful! I shaked my head but who am i to say rite?
This morning, I saw this Auntie... Sheesh, she was in those Indonesia Tai Tai's big hairstyle and all made up, carring a LV bag but she was wearing a pair of SLIPPERS to work! GRRR!!! Also, another lady wearing a bubble top matched with a pair of formal striped pants!! Argh, i hate to see fashion disaster early in the morning!!!
Anyway, I thank god that Mum incorporated us a GOOD sense of fashion!

Office Move - Part 3
After the major clean up yesterday, we had accumulated 10 tall piles of papers to be shredded! The temp boy hired for the office move resigned and we suspected that he got sick of standing at the shredding machine for 8 hours just to shred the co's papers!
The CFO decided that those piles of papers are not going to be shred instead they will be sold to the Garang Guni as he told me that noone (including competitors) will want to look at the past 10 years data! Hehehe, actually everytime i cleared out my files, i will ask the cleaning lady to sell it off to the Garang Guni. To, what's so confidential about those data, there are commercial spies around and I doubt they want to look at this! The best part is Blackie agrees with the CFO totally but that's not what he said yesterday... He said, "All these papers must be shred!" Sheesh, such a snake... or rather "见鬼说鬼话,见人说人话" I admit that I can't do such things so blantantly.... I salute those who can do it but Blackie has no substance, so he is not on my salute list!
Another colleague also kena from me! As mentioned in my previous posts, my dept is moving to the Fish Tank. Why we called our new place a Fish Tank? Well, we re enclosed in a glass walled room, people can see us as if we re fishes in a tank! There is another meaning to Fish Tank, in some red light districts, prostitutes are clad scantily and in a glass room, waiting for the potential client to pick them (Amsterdam 's infamous Red Light District, 24/7)
So, I walked over there to see the progress of the renovation. My 3 male colleagues were there and they were joking with me on the fish tank. One of them got carried away and another one tried to refrain him from being carried away... And this colleague after hearing my buey song tone, showed me a photograph of his daughter. There is nothing wrong in showing off your own child! But there is something wrong in boasting! He told us that this is a passport photo for his daughter's passport and he is bringing her for a cruise. He mentioned that Cruise is the best place for kids coz its a hassle to bring all the kids' barang barang if travelling by plane.
Wow, the way he put it across machiam like he's a seasoned traveller! Ahem, I can't stand it and I told him that Piglet has been to HK thrice liao and we re going to London next month. He immediately zipped up his mouth! Come on, I was like there are more seasoned travellers with toddlers than you are. You just want to boast that you re going on a cruise! Oh please, there are those rich people who travelled with toddlers on planes in FIRST CLASS SOMEMORE! Some people just too mountain tortoise!

Office Move - Part 2
Yesterday, we spent the whole afternoon clearing those files left behind by our predessors! Boy, it was so horrible, dust all over us, my colleague's eye was sore due to the dust! 90% of the files we cleared out are to be sent for shredding! Now, there are 6 tall piles of paper waiting to be shred! SS has instructed us to help her with clearing her cabinets later today.
This morning, SS and the IT Manager are still discussing our new seating arrangement in the fish tank. I almost fainted when i hear that! We re moving to the fish tank on Monday and our seating arrangement has not been decided? This company is really CMI! From the way, they handled this office move, I already had shaken my head for umpteen times! I got a shock when i heard that the renovation for this office move is $200K!
I hoped that after the move to the fish tank, I will be able to find a new job soon. (This happens 3-4 times in my previous jobs, except for AXA, it s termination.)

Another convo with a colleague
It was so unexpected. I din expect myself to chat with my new colleague (been in the dept for 6 mths vs me 3 years)...
I was MSNing her (our co internal MSN) to tell her about the strange phemenon of Blackie going to collect the mangoes. Anyway, he collected the mangoes coz he wants to eat them. Fat hope of him getting papers or doing anything that is below/beneath his level! Rant about it in another post mabbe...
She told me about the ridiculous things that SS mentioned to her and stuff. While i told her about the funny things other dept is doing. As mentioned earlier, we re going to move from our current location to the pre-existing meeting room of our company. We saw the floor plan but SS din forward it to us. While the operations dept, the moment they got hold of the floor plan, they printed it out, made copies and streamed into their manager's office to request for seats!
Initially, I wanted to tell SS about my request to sit behind but i decided not to as most of the time, our requests are not entertained and she has already plan the seating arrangement ahead. So, i will just sit whenever she wants me to sit and I pray that I m able to sit at the most favourable seat in the new section!
Anyway, both of us are just buying time in our company. I will have to seriously kick myself into looking for a job once I m back from my Europe trip!

Hot Sunday
Its so hot and I can't get to nap in Sis room.
Ms Piggy & I will be staying overnight at Mum's pl so that we can send Sis off at Airport tomorrow. Sis will be taking the afternoon flight home tomorrow and I will be taking urgent half day leave to send her off. Initially I din take leave as I tot Sis is taking the night flight tomorrow!
This morning at home, it was so bad that I really lost my temper again. Claire is at her terrible twos again! She simply screamed or shout if I dun give in to her. I was eating my breakfast and she kept on demanding for it. I ignored her and she realised that I m not giving in to her demands, she CRIED!
After that, she refused to have her lunch and I lost it by giving her a few smacks on her cheek. It came to a point that i just put the food away and put her to sit at the naughty chair as it hurts my heart to smack her. She knew that I was mad at her and she tried to pacify me by attempting to play with me but i just ignored her! Later on, i told Pirate King to give her a bath. She cried again as it was Pirate King bathing her not me. Basically, she just dun want her Papa!!!
Last week, i was ironing her clothes and she refused to let me do the ironing. She showed her anger but using her crayons to draw on the floor! I was so furious at her! Mum also told me that Claire refused to let her do the chores and insisted Mum to play with her or sleep with her!
I think its the terrible twos at work and I wonder when will this phrase go away!

This morning so far
This morning so far is a funny one...
Its' Pirate King turn to fetch Piglet to Bedok and I heard her protest loudly to Pirate King for putting her in the Pikkolo (our baby carrier). Before she left our room, I heard her calling me, "Mama" I acknowledged her and told her to be good.
While I was doing my big business, Pirate King called and told me that he had FORGOTTEN to bring the $$ (for our Europe trip). I had reminded him yesterday to keep it inside his bag. Anyway, I din rant at him, I just reminded him of what I had told him yesterday! So, I met him at the MRT station to pass the $$ to him later.
On the MRT, it was not very packed. Generally, the commuters don't like to move into the cabins regardless of how packed the condition the train is, we suspect got supernatural beings, that's y they wont move in. There is this guy standing besides me, who simply refused to move in to give both of us more personal space. I can't move coz there is this Uncle, who is leaning against the pole with his belly protruding out!.
Guess what, the train suddenly jerked and the guy stepped on my BIG TOE! It was so painful for me, I was wearing my precious Ecco open toed sandals and he stepped on my BIG TOE with his shoe!!! Aww, he kept on apologising while i was wailing in pain! After his apology, he immediately moved into the cabin! So people!
At office, the HR hired a temp guy to help out in the office move. They just terminated the driver and I heard that the co did not compensate the driver with in any form of notice period or salary. I suggested to the driver to report this to MOM but he did not want to as he said he did something wrong. I dunno what wrong he did but this company is really horrible. They like to chew people up without spitting the bones out! He is not the first one to kena such things.
What can I say, a MNC company reducing to such state... Suddenly those articles that Ah Fry wrote is exactly what is happening in my company... So freaky and my Sis is right, i can't nua anymore, must move out liao!
Anyway, i will start the move out search when I m back from my Europe trip.

18 Months Old to date
Claire is 18 months old today. This marks that she is ready for the following:
1. Potty Training (still trying and partially my fault too)
2. Child care centre (to be realised in June 09)
3. More adult food
4. Another sibling?
5. Many other wonderful things in Planet Earth
I might want to gush about all those antics she does etc but frankly, there are so many of them and there is none that is classic enough to blog it down. It is all in my mind.
To date, her personality is becoming more and more of her own. She is stubborn as hell, has her own mind set. I shudder at the thought when she is a teenager and all those fights that I used to have with Mum might come back again but this time, I m the Mum!
My wish for her is to be healthy and happy in her life. I guess that's all I want, alot of other things are dependent on her even though i have to do the basic of raising her & educating her.
PS: I just realised that she has another 198 months to go before she is 18 years old!
1. Potty Training (still trying and partially my fault too)
2. Child care centre (to be realised in June 09)
3. More adult food
4. Another sibling?
5. Many other wonderful things in Planet Earth

Grrr, its official. My dept will be moved to the current Meeting Room.
It will be nearer to the big bosses and it's time for me to pack again... 3 Years in this company and there are quite a number of stuff on my table!
Sianz! Will they announce retrenchment next?

Branded Stuff
The moment I told my friends and colleagues about my Europe trip, the first thing that came to their mind is Louis Vuitton (LV) and Gucci bags, not any other thing!
For me, I admit I love branded stuff but not to the extent that everything must be labelled! I love branded stuff as majority of their designs, functionality and material used for the bags are all of superb quality, meet the consumers' needs and durable.
When Pirate King & I started dating, I bought him a Dunhill wallet for his birthday gift. This wallet is still in good condition despites after 4 years of abuse from him. My Patrick Cox wallets served me well too even though they have been with me for more than 3 years. So for this Europe trip, I might be getting a Dunhill wallet for Pirate King as his birthday present (subjected to the price too)!
At the same time, I m also disgusted by the way how some people flaunt their branded bags or bragged about it. One of my colleagues, the Young Girl loves to brag about which branded LV bag that she is getting her boyfriend to buy it for her. Indeed her boyfriend bought one for her but the bag is totally unsuitable for her and this bag is suitable for my Mum's age!
My colleagues gave me this nick, "Atas Queen" as the shoes, clothes and bags I used are generally branded. Hehe, i buy branded shoes like Ecco, Florsheim, Mephisto as I am flat footed and my feet perspired alot so I need good leather shoes! Plus, these shoes can last me for at least more than 1 year! Its worth every cent to buy... One disclaimer, I BUY THEM WHEN THEY RE ON OFFER!
Thus, I m not surprised if people labelled me as a rich gal coz of the branded stuff i wear & used! But its worth every single cent as they can last for a long time! Frankly speaking, I wont bring myself to buy a $4K Louis Vuitton or Chanel bag as I rather spend the $$ on Tours or other stuff.

Vain One
Claire is a vain one and Pirate King commented that its inherited from me. Well, I beg to DIFFER, its inherited from him.
Instance #1
Sis' fren, J came to Mum's place with her wedding gown. J requires Mum's help to alter her wedding gown. Mum & Sis told me that Ms Piggy was upset when J wore the wedding gown and they praised J for looking good. So Sis changed Ms Piggy into her 1st Birthday party dress (sewn by Mum) and Claire immediately smiled. Mum told me that Claire refused to change into her other clothes when J went home.
Sis showed me a picture of J (in her wedding gown) & Claire (in her party dress). The expression on Ms Piggy is so buey song. Sis told me that Claire is buey song that J is more beautiful than her!
Instance #2
I was surprised to see Claire clad in a dress when I reached home yesterday. Sis put it on for her and told me that Ms Piggy was simply ecstatic when she wore it and Claire kept on saying, "lang lang" (Cantonese for Pretty).
Instance #3
She will point to dresses and clothes and say, "Lang lang". Those dresses and clothes that she pointed are ALL EXPENSIVE AND PRETTY!
This gal of mine!

Places I wanna go
On that Sunday which i locked myself in the study room, I was msning with Ah Fry. We talked about random stuff.
She told me that she was torn between going Taipei & Zhong Dian (Shangri-La in China). I told her to go Zhong Dian and Taipei can wait. My simple reason, Go there before the place is corrupted by Tourism.
So here is a list of places I wanna go before I die....
1. Silk Road - Starting from Xi-an to the Mediterreanean (where it ends)
2. Tibet
3. Nepal
4. USA - Arizona (To see the stars) & Grand Canyon
5. Bhutan
6. Egypt - Pyramids
7. Peru - Nazca Lines
8. Can't remember the country name - The Maya Ruins
Hopefully i will be able to go there with Pirate King when we retired.

Words & other stuff
Claire surprised me yesterday by pointing to a fish tank and said, "Fish" Imagine my surprise when she said that.
She loves to flip books and go thru them. If she sees any animals, like cats or dogs. She will exclaim loudly what they are... except for one problem, any animal that she can't identify, it will be, "Woof woof" ie a dog.
If she sees pretty clothes, things or people.. she will go, "Lang Lang" (Pretty in Cantonese).
And she is so vain, she loves to go out with a bag. Last Thursday, Sis gave her a little drawstring pouch. She was so happy to receive it and she tried to stuff her IKEA cat into it. But the pouch is too small for the bag, she was so upset that she can't put it in. In the end, she stuffed another small cat into the bag! She simply carried the bag like the way we adults carried! Its so cute watching her do that.
Time flies, she is going to be 18 months soon and it gives me great satisfaction to see her little development here and there.

Poor Piggy, lousy Mummy!
During the long weekend, I had accidentally hurt Claire quite a few times. I m really a LOUSY Mother!
Incident #1
Both of us are on the bed and I was gazing at my Sheridan bedsheet. Totally forgotten about keeping an eye on Ms Piggy. Somehow, she tried to get herself off the bed but ended up knocking her chin onto the bedframe. She cried, now there is a nasty bruise on her chin.
Incident #2
I accidentally knocked into her when i got out of the room to the kitchen. I did not realise that she is following me so closely. The lucky thing is she landed on her butt and there was no bruise or knocks on her body.
Incident #3
I was trying to push the stroller out from those exit gates at Daiso, Vivo City but the sleepy me din realise the exit gates slamming into the position and ended hitting Claire.... Grrr, i fell like beating myself up... There was a red mark but thank god, it went away quick!

My Good Friday Weekend
It was such a LONG weekend and in a flash, its OVER! Just wish that it will be even longer too!
What did i do over the weekend? Well, its mainly meet ups with family & relatives + a little time for ourselves.
1. Good Friday
We went to George's place (my cousin) to check out his newborn son. His son, Kayden is a naughty one. Kayden is supposed to be born on 27 April 2009 but he was born premature as my cousin in law's waterbag burst and she has to do an emergency C-section coz of Kayden's breech position and the burst waterbag.
Kayden resembles my Uncle totally with the trademark Wong's nose. (My siblings & me also got this trademark nose but Uncle & Kayden's ones are much more better looking than us!) After visiting Kayden, we went home and met up with the family for dinner. It was our treat for HK Aunt at Sushi Tei. That pretty sums up the Good Friday!
2. Saturday
I woke up early to prepare Piglet's porridge before heading to my in laws' place for lunch. My in laws are very happy to see her at their place and I saw the 2 rooms that Pirate King used to occupy are all cleaned up and ready for my younger Sis-in-law and her 3 kids to move it anytime.
While I am running after Piglet in the living room as she is playing with her cousin, chasing each other. My MIL , elder SIL and Pirate King are in the kitchen chatting. Apparently, my widowed younger SIL is unable to get the full sum of the insurance that her late husband left her as her Mother in law is taking it without leaving a single cent to her.
I dunno the dynamics between she and her MIL but I find that she is quite a poor thing. Before her husband's death, her home is already invaded by her Mother in law and her younger brother in law. Imagine, her family of 6 (including the maid) and another 4 more persons all squashed into a 4 room flat, not to mention 2 cats, birds and fish... Plus those deities. Her husband has his 2 legs amputated to knee and can't work. She is the sole breadwinner and she has to help out in her Mother in law's meat stall. Her Mother in law sells pork in the wet market. Not to mention taking care of her 3 kids and a sick husband, financially she is not very stable and its just enough.
Now, her MIL taking the whole sum of the insurance money despites the fact that it was to be shared 50-50 between the 2 of them.
Then, a little incident happened. My MIL helped me to keep an eye on Piglet while I was having my lunch. Once i finished my lunch, I took over. My SIL's 4 /5 years old son is a mischievous one and he climbed up the sofa by standing on the stool and onto the sofa's arms. Now, my in laws' sofa set is those Chinese Furniture, all heavy solid wood and it can cause fatal injuries if you hurt yourself. So seeing what her cousin does, Piglet followed suit! I chided Piglet and push the stool under the chair so that she can't take it out and repeat the same action.
Guess what her cousin, took the stool out and attempted the same stunt. I also chided him for that and surprisingly, my SIL told her son off for setting a bad example for Piglet. Previously, my SIL gave me a buey song face when i chided her daughter for no manners (using her hand to take food directly from the table). Now, she tells her son off? I dunno, perhaps it might be her another way of showing buey song... Heck, can't be bothered... My main priority... To ENSURE that Piglet dun hv any unnecessary bumps and knocks!
3. Sunday
Our PT cleaning lady flew us kite big time and Pirate King has to do the household chores in the morning while i settled Piglet and her stuff. Then we left for East Coast Park for lunch at Long Beach Seafood Restaurant. The standard of the food there is getting from BAD to WORSE! Anyway, the lunch is to celebrate my Dad's birthday.
After lunch, Harry drove us back home as they are going to our place to collect Piglet's baby stuff for their unborn son. They are surprised by the amount of baby stuff we had. We passed them Piglet's spare stroller, baby bouncer, mats, toys, carrier etc etc. HK Aunt told me that they were quite surprised to see the amount of newborn clothes that Piglet has coz some of them are labelled with her initials (for infant care centre) as they are washing the clothes!
When it was evening, Pirate King told me to feed Piglet her dinner. Apparently, she was not hungry and I did not feed her. After an hour or so, I told Pirate King to feed her instead but he wanted to siam the duty by asking Piglet whether she wants dinner or not. Obviously, Piglet wont be able to answer him and I got so fed up with his antics. I just went to the kitchen and heat up her porridge, followed by locking myself into the study room.
Wow, its such a bliss to be able to use my notebook in peace for at least 1 hour and letting Pirate King to bond with Piglet. Anyway, I was quite surprised at myself that i did not shout at Pirate King for his antics... :) I only got out of the room when my stomach is growling! Heheh!
This is how i spent my long weekend and it was all over in a FLASH! I need more of these!

Itchy thoughts
I m thinking of combining 2 blogs into one... This is just an itchy thought of mine but who knows it might be materialised soon...
Kinda tired to maintain 2 blogs, one is for Ms Piggy while the other is for myself.

Phone Lust
My trusty Motorola is spoilt and I m using Pirate King's old Palm Treo.... I m waiting for the below phone to launch before I m willing to throw away the Palm Treo!
Yes, that's the Palm Pre! According to the official site, it will be launched in US in the 1st half of 2009 (CDMA version) and only be launched in Asia and other countries from September 2009 onwards!
Awww, the long wait begins!

Europe Trip Planning
We will be going to Amsterdam & Paris from London. Sis had booked the air tickets & train tickets for these 2 places but not the accomodation.
Last night, Sis & I spent 2 hours++ to look at the accomodation in Amsterdam. Boy, it was so tough to find one that is within budget and comfortable. As Spring is the perfect time for travel plus with the flowers' season in Amsterdam, the RATES ARE 100% MORE!
Initially, Sis suggested this hotel, Moevenpick Hotel City Centre but it was way beyond our budget. Guess what, after 2 hours++ of searching, we BOOKED IT! Talking about being efficient! We realised that other options will run up to about the same cost as the rates for Moevenpick, plus this hotel has a free shuttle service to & fro Amsterdam City Centre and the location is safe & convenient. Plus not to mention, 2 elders & a toddler, we just gotta find better ones.
We also booked the tickets for the Keukenhof Gardens, it costs 20 euros per person as entrance fees. Hopefully we are not disappointed by the lack of tulips when we re there!
Now, I m left with the Paris accomodation to book and confirm. Sis has gallantly volunteered to babysit Claire for 2 days so that we (Mum, Auntie-Mum's friend aka Sis' colleague's Mum, PK & Me) can travel in a more relaxed manner.....
Okie, more data mining on hotels accomodation!
*Updates at 1215am, I managed to book the hotel for Paris!! Its a boutique hotel located near to Moulin Rouge, red light district.. The hotel is called Le Chat Noir! Wonder how the elders are going to react to it! LV, Chanel here i come... As if i will buy them! :P

Pao pao
Ms Piggy loves her food like anyone of us in the family.
On Tuesday, Sis came back with buns from the bakery two streets across Mum's block. She gave a portion of it to Claire.
Well, Mum was busy with cooking and she asked Sis to help her with some housework. So both of them left Claire ALONE on the sofa with the bun. When both of them finished their stuff and realised all is too quiet, they took a look at Ms Piggy.
Ms Piggy had POLISHED OFF half of the savoury Veggie bun!!!! No wonder, she was so quiet as she is too preoccupied with eating! Anyway, Mum told me that she finished 200ml of water after eating the bun!
Now, whenever she sees buns or breads or food that resembles them, she will go, "Pao pao" (buns/bread in Cantonese).

Horrible Monday!
Yesterday was a horrible Monday!
Ms Claire woke up a couple of times for milk and refused to go back to sleep at 6.23am. I ignored her and she finally went back to sleep after tossing & turning about for a while.
Mum came to open the door around 7.15am (we were staying overnight at Mum's pl) and I woke up to tell Mum about her milk feeds. Mum told me not to let her have those 2am feeds and let her cry. I was like, "Sigh, i need to work but if i have disturbed sleep. How can i concentrate on my work?"
Around 11am++, Mum called and all i heard is Claire's WAILING on the phone! Afterwards, Mum told me about Claire's antics. She bought Claire out to the void decks to let her roam about but Ms Piggy refused to go home when its time to go back. She kept on pointing to the direction of the interchange!
Thus, Mum forcefully carried her home and called me to let me hear her WAILING. Then, Mum lectured me about bringing her out blah blah blah. Frankly speaking, I did not bring Claire out as often as before. Still i kena from Mum.
Later in the afternoon, Mum called and told me that they (Mum, HK Aunt & Claire) are going to Chinatown to see the doctor coz HK Aunt slipped on Claire's puddle of urine! I was like...HAIZ!
Fast forward to last night, Claire simply refused to sleep and she was thrashing around and purposely kicked my face with her legs despite many warnings and whacks on her legs from me. She finally slept when she sees PK sleeping too!
This is really a horrible Monday! I think there will be more to come!

Dealing with my inner turmoil
Ever since I got married to PK and having Piglet, many sets of problems arose and I tried to resolve them to the best I could.
1. Childcare arrangement, I would say its weird. Mum takes care of Piglet for almost full day and Piglet's nanny took care of her from 5pm onwards. So that Mum can cook dinner for us and have a bit of rest time. Now, Piglet's nanny has stopped looking after her and the arrangement is like we will bring her to Mum's place or Mum will come up to our place to look after her.
Going forward in June, we will be sending Piglet to the childcare centre near Mum's place and Mum will help us to fetch her back in the evening before we bring Piglet home.
2. In Laws, they are not my parents but PK's ones. As much as I can't stand their antics, I need to give them due respect. However, it is difficult to give them that as they dun respect me. Well, like what my family & friends told me, avoid as much contact with them when possible and deal with their antics when it comes!
3. PK, dating is really fun. Living together is not fun and still learning to get used to his living habits. The thing that really irks me is he fails to understand why i need his help to settle Piglet during the weekend.
4. Work, having SS as a boss is jialat. What i can do is to keep an lookout for job opportunities or mabbe just take a break and be a stay at home Mum for a few months till I found a job.
5. Myself, finding it stressful to be a good WIFE, MOTHER & DAUGHTER at the same time. Not to mention all the above, it unsettles me and throws me into many turmoils and sometimes into extreme negativity of thoughts.
Conclusion => Take a deep breath, relax, prioritise and take things as they come.
1. Childcare arrangement, I would say its weird. Mum takes care of Piglet for almost full day and Piglet's nanny took care of her from 5pm onwards. Latest News of my co
Last Friday, our CFO called everyone in for a meeting. His aim was to inform us about the changes of our new company structure after the so-called merger was completed!
In short, it will be an invisible form of retrenchment. From 5 regional offices, it will be cut down to 3 regional offices. My side is not affected but it means more work for us!
Now, my only concern is whether will i be able to go for my London trip in May coz the CFO told us that the new structure will be in place with effect from 1st June 2009. So, i m just worried that my SS asked me to cancel my trip and to get the work done. I was just telling my colleague & friend, if she ever asked me to do that, I will just throw the letter. That will be IT!
Well, SS has ever asked an ex-colleague to cancel her honeymoon in order to get work done. So my worries are not groundless.

Boy Chasing
I can't believe that Claire starts boy chasing at the tender age of 17.5 mths old!
She always loves to chase boys but never ever so obvious before!
Today, we went to Taka's Sports section to check out some shoes for her after our dinner. There is this boy who is very cute, he has big round eyes and pretty long eyelashes! Think he is around 4-5 years old.
The moment, Ms Piggy saw him. She was trying to make friends with him, the best part came when I told her to call him, Kor Kor. She immediately called him, "Kor kor!!" Sheesh, after that she followed him wherever he goes! The little boy was so afraid of the attention that she showered on him that he tried to siam her whenever he could!
My friend laughed when she heard about this. For me, I can't imagine the no of calls she will call the boys or vice versa when she is a teenager. But my friend's ultimate consolation, "At least you know she is straight!"
In the meantime, i shall enjoy her funny antics of chasing boys!

Indication of Terrible Two? Or just dun want her Father?
As Mum was on MC since Wednesday, PK took leave to look after Ms Piggy himself.
Today & yesterday, Pirate King complained to me about Claire's refusal to bath!
Usually, she will lift up her hands when we want to take off her clothes for bathing! But, twice she refused to do that and even purposely folded her hands so that PK can't remove her clothes! PK told me that she literally SCREAM & CRY!
I was quite surprised as Bathing is her favourity activity. Most of the time, she will venture into the toilet herself and kept on saying, "Pai pai pai" (Cantonese word, meaning bathing)
Is this another sign of Terrible Twos?

Change of Plans
Originally Mum & Piglet will be going to London first while Pirate King & I joined them 2 weeks later.
As Mum is on MC (she was down with flu & a strained back) and after many thoughts, she asked me whether is it possible for me to bring Piglet to London instead? She was worried that i might object to it, i told her no... In fact, she was the one who violently objected to it when i told her to go first while i got Piglet's nanny to look after her for 2 weeks.
Now, i shuddered to think about the 14hr flight to London with Piglet... Well, i survived 4hr flight alone with Piglet, i think 14hr flight should not be a problem and with Pirate King around too...
