Month End!

Today is the last day of Sep 06.

Was in the office toilet counting down to the no of months left to my wedding in Jan 07... Oh my god, its 3 mths and 27 more days to go!

And it seems like i hv 1001 things unsettled yet! Panic mode starts to set in for the gan cheong (read: ANXIOUS) me! However, my dear husband is not panicky... Y should i start to panic?

Anyway, tackle things as it comes along.... Will continue to post notices of the way I bug dear hubby to get things settled! :)

HK Trip - Reflections.....

Just came back from my HK Trip. The whole trip was simply tiring....

During this trip, shopping & eating are the main highlights. But the aim of this trip is to thank the gods for getting me a job.

Yup, u can say... in these days & times, Do you have to be so supersititious? Well, i will say different religons thanked their gods differently... I went to thank the gods on my 2nd day in HK. This temple in HK is famous for granting wishes esp in terms of career and wealth. For me, I just want my family to be healthy & happy....

My cousin's wife gave birth to a baby gal. Her name is Grace, she is so tiny... We went to visit her twice. The first time we saw her, she was wide awake... She seems to know that her Grandaunt (my Mum) & 2 aunties (My sis & me) came all the way from Spore to visit her. Frankly speaking, its amazing to see how a baby grown up to an adult, just my siblings & me.... And now, I m seeing my parents growing old...... Guess Life is as such.....

Actually, I din enjoy this trip very much mainly due to lack of sleep. As much as HK is a shopping paradise.. The whole envt is polluted and crowded. I still prefer Singapore! Despite the fact that majority of us are protected/pampered by our Govt. Nothing beats a safe place like home. Every place has its pros & cons.... At the end of the day, I will choose Singapore! Sounds very patriotic rite?

I enjoyed myself thoroughly when my Sis & I went to Lamma Island with Bessie & Ivan (our cousin, Doris' frens) for a leisure hike. The place is clean and refreshing. Its like the Pulau Ubin in Singapore....

Anyway, this trip is a bonding session for the women in my family though there are occassional unhappiness or arguements during the 6 days trip. I am really grateful to my Mum & Sis for accompanying me to HK to get my bridal trousseau.

Responsibility...

Was reading my sis' blog....

So much anger in her... Dunno how to comment but i guess Sibling Rivalry is always there...

She s jealous of me... PRetty surprised to hear that! A lot of laments abt me and the amount of love my Mum has showered on me....

If my Mum will to hear it, I dunno how she will react. Quoting my Sis' words, i had changed from a "no" gal to a "yes" gal. To me, its a stage... Everyone will have their expectations and dreams etc.. I envy my sis for hvg so much supportive friends around her.... Great working experience & exposure.. She doesnt hv to go thru as much detours as me in terms of work and everything...

Regardless of the sibling rivalry etc, she will always be a sister close to my heart. She has always been the supportive one for me since she has been born.

I could only tell her..... Responsibility is the one. Being the eldest, I have even more expectations from my parents and that comes with heavy responsibility. Growing older means you have to shoulder more responsibility... Regardless of your environment etcc...

Tired....

On Friday, I received my letter of confirmation!!!

Finally!!!! A perm job after 3 years of contract work!

Very tired, went to my new place to do some cleaning up with dear husband. We also went to Ikea to get some storage stuff for our new place... Extremely tired... Was wondering how my Mum managed to get the household so clean?

HoneyMoon Destinations

This question has been posed to me many times, "Where are you heading for your honeymoon?"

My original destination was to visit the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls and Las Vegas in US. Ever since, dear Hubby's boastful fren announced his intention to visit these places for his honeymoon. It totally put me off..

Everyone will say, y be bothered with such a person and changed your destination? Well, u can say that i m pissed off that someone ripped off my idea of going to Grand Canyon for honeymoon esp if tat someone is someone that you totally DETEST! This boastful fren (NINCOMPOOP) of dear hubby is the typical example of someone trying to make it big but ended up looking like a loser!

After so research and recommendations from my frens, EGYPT will be the destination! Why EGYPT? It has one of the seven wonders of the world, the movie, "Cleopatra" s effect and I had never travelled to North Africa before!

Keeping my fingers crossed that this idea wont get ripped off again by that NINCOMPOOP fren of dear hubby!

Confirmation??????????

3 months has passed in my current co! My confirmation is due but no official word has been received yet... Due to the busy month end closing..... I think if its not for my sane colleagues, I will want to bang my head against the office window & claim MC!

Its pretty stressful during the month end closing... But its challenging, there are always hiccups happening for no reason or so..... Anyway, will keep my fingers crossed for the official letter of confirmation!

Was reading my younger Sis blog just now.... Well.. guess i m really a pain in the ass most of the time... Will try to be a better sis! Hopefully, she does see my effort!
