Claire had 2 jabs yesterday, MMR & 5 in 1. She does not have any jabs till she goes to Primary school (another 4 years ahead!)
I was at work so I met Pirate King & Claire directly at Dr Chan's clinic. The appointment was scheduled at 11.45am but they reached the clinic at 12pm. Guess what, Ms Piggy was asleep in her Benz. Pirate King told me that she refused to nap at home and she fell asleep when they re at Somerset MRT station.
Dr Chan's clinic is like a madhouse full of patients, so even though we had made an appointment to see her but still we have to wait! As Ms Piggy was asleep, we let other patients to go first. There was this particular boy, about 4-5 years old, super spoilt and hard to manage. While Claire was asleep, I observed that he was literally destroying the toys at the clinic. I called him, "Destroyer".
Ms Piggy woke up ard 12.30pm and we let her roamed about in the clinic. Unfortunately, Ms Piggy was attracted to the toys that the "Destroyer" was playing. She walked to the toys that he was not playing. The "Destroyer" prevented Claire from playing the musical toys. His Mother only mentioned this statement, "Ethan, you re not playing with the toy. Let Mei mei (Claire) play with it." Well, this was wasted on him and he pushed Claire's hands away from the toys. Of course, I do not wish for Claire to be hit by him for no reason. I immediately carried Claire away and shown my disgust outright.
But Ms Claire being a stubborn one, walked back to him again. This time, he pulled the same stunt again and in the process, he tried to destroy the toys again. The Mother only said, "Ethan, are you playing with the toys or destroying them?" Come on, can't you just discipline him by just pulling him away or giving him a smack on the hands?
Anyway, that woman sensed my buey song and she was smart enought to drag her son away from us. If not, I will instigate Claire to whack the Destroyer. He was lucky, Claire just woke her from her nap and in a blur state... If not, he sure die one!
Back to Claire, the nurse took her height, weight & head measurements. Proud to announce that at 17 months, Ms Claire is 10.5 kg (lighter as she din hv her lunch yet) and 84cm tall. If the fact that Toddlers will grow to half of their adult length by 2 years old, I can safely conclude that she will be taller than me! Hehehe!
After the measurements were taken, we waited for our turn to see Dr Chan. The first thing Dr Chan noticed about her was her hair (the coconut head trimmed by my Mum). Ms Claire cried when Dr Chan used her stethscope to listen to her lungs & stuff. (Dr Chan commented that I had an evil laugh when I told Claire that there is more to come!) After that, Dr Chan told me to carry her so that she can give Ms Piggy her 2 jabs. Before, Dr Chan had given her the jab, Ms Piggy was already crying! She cried so loud & hard after the jabs are given to her!
The moment Dr Chan gave her a biscuit after her jabs, she immediately stopped crying! Ms Piggy is really a greedy one and Dr Chan was so amused by her, especially when she waved goodbye & flying kiss to her!
So far, her fever for the 5-in-1 jab had subsided today and now we re just waiting for the side effects of the MMR to come in 1-2 days time!
