Indian cuisine today...

I can't believe it myself...

I had Indian Cuisine for 2 meals today, Lunch & dinner.

Lunch was Indian Vegetarian at Amara Hotel Food Court. It was a farewell treat for my colleague, L. He is leaving the company to pursue his Sea Captain course. It was my first time trying it and it gave me a good impression as it was not oily & greasy as the usual Chicken Biryani I had in those Indian Food stalls.

L was surprised that it was my first time having it and he was relieved to know that i enjoy it very much. We chatted about work, family and stuff. We shared similar views on our company's management and he even told me about this nickname given to one of the colleagues. From him, i learnt quite a couple of things and this will help me in my work experience in dealing with people.

Dinner was at Tiffin Room, Raffles hotel. As PK was a Feed at Raffles Gourmet card member, the compliementary voucher was buffet at Tiffin Room or Bar & Billard Room at Raffles Hotel. We decided to give Tiffin Room a try since Bar & Billard Room's buffet is CMI. Quoting PK's words, "To try ATAS curry!"

Well, the ambience was good and the food was good too especially the Tomato Soup that they had at the buffet, its something like Tom Yum (slightly spicy) while at the same time hearty... good for the rainy weather. Basically, the variety is not as much as those normal buffet but it gives u an insight on the North Indian food from appetitisers to main course to desserts.

The desserts we tried, i must say is really an acquired taste and it s either too sweet or too bland for most of it. PK & I loved the Indian style ice cream but we concluded that we won't go for the 2nd time unless its a treat! :P

For me, as usual after each Indian food meal, I will have the runs and that explains why I wont go for Indian food. :)

Found it!!!

I m so happy today!!! I found the new location of my fave Cantonese restaurant!!!!!

It is going to be just opposite Maxwell Food Centre!!!

For the Association of Low Bloggers' Meeting, we might be able to get their prawn paste chicken!!!! I m praying that their renovation is completed by then and opened for business!

Packed Sunday!

Yesterday, we attended 2 celebrations for lunch & dinner.

Lunch - Kayden's 1st Month celebration
Kayden is my eldest Uncle on Dad's side grandson! It was held at Caribbean Residences Function Room. This condo is located besides Harbourfront! It is a super ATAS condo, most of the residents are ang mohs or expats! My cousin managed to rent an unit there and we were so impressed with the unit! Furthermore, rental of an unit is only $200 per day! Its even cheaper than renting a chalet as the unit is fully furnished and has 3 bedrooms! Not to mention the fanastic location and view there!

Ms Piggy has a blast there, everyone treats her like a princess. The best part is, one of my cousin's guest has 3 sons and she is very happy to see Claire. Her sons have a PSP each and Piglet loves all these gadets! So this lady told her son to play with her and even let her play with her son's PSP! Her youngest son is the one that Claire tried to be friendly with! (Boy chasing again!)

I was unhappy that she let Claire played with the PSP, I feel that its BEST TO AVOID ALL THESE GAMES for children as its bad for their eyesight and there is more to life than games!

Dinner - My Father in law Birthday celebration
It was held at the Putien Restaurant in Vivo City. The food was the usual but my Father in law is happy that all his grandchildren are there especially now Piglet is the favourite as she is the youngest of all the grandchildren!

Poor Piggy, lousy Mummy!

During the long weekend, I had accidentally hurt Claire quite a few times. I m really a LOUSY Mother!

Incident #1
Both of us are on the bed and I was gazing at my Sheridan bedsheet. Totally forgotten about keeping an eye on Ms Piggy. Somehow, she tried to get herself off the bed but ended up knocking her chin onto the bedframe. She cried, now there is a nasty bruise on her chin.

Incident #2
I accidentally knocked into her when i got out of the room to the kitchen. I did not realise that she is following me so closely. The lucky thing is she landed on her butt and there was no bruise or knocks on her body.

Incident #3
I was trying to push the stroller out from those exit gates at Daiso, Vivo City but the sleepy me din realise the exit gates slamming into the position and ended hitting Claire.... Grrr, i fell like beating myself up... There was a red mark but thank god, it went away quick!

Pao pao

Ms Piggy loves her food like anyone of us in the family.

On Tuesday, Sis came back with buns from the bakery two streets across Mum's block. She gave a portion of it to Claire.

Well, Mum was busy with cooking and she asked Sis to help her with some housework. So both of them left Claire ALONE on the sofa with the bun. When both of them finished their stuff and realised all is too quiet, they took a look at Ms Piggy.

Ms Piggy had POLISHED OFF half of the savoury Veggie bun!!!! No wonder, she was so quiet as she is too preoccupied with eating! Anyway, Mum told me that she finished 200ml of water after eating the bun!

Now, whenever she sees buns or breads or food that resembles them, she will go, "Pao pao" (buns/bread in Cantonese).

Haha.... Finally got it cooked!

This morning, meet Ah Fry at Choa Chu Kang to go to Farmart to buy live prawns & lala for a cook out at my place!

Farmart reminds me of the Mushroom farm in Genting! But, i would say if i have a car. I will drive there to get the seafood & veggies for cooking!

Ah Fry is the chef while i m just the assistant, helping out here & there! Hehe, the below photos are what she has cooked! I looked forward to the next session but it will be even more rowdy coz Piglet will be back and going into the kitchen to disturb! HEhee!

Hehe, this is my 2nd trip to HK in 2008!


Arrived here in HK yesterday, my cough is still as bad!


Have not gone out to the major shopping malls yet to get my stuff. Will be doing it in a couple of days!


Ah fry, hehe... I had a very nice dessert today! No picture to tempt you!! :P


The dessert is "Ginger Juice with Milk"... Only this stall near my Auntie's pl is good! Hehee....

Shopping with Mum!

Mum came over to my place in the noon to see Piglet!

So, she played with her till we put in to sleep in the sarong. Once Piglet is asleep and Pirate King awake from his afternoon nap, we went to Orchard for shopping!

Mum told me about the stuff that Doris bought yesterday. (Mum was out shopping with Doris) We went to Zara to check out the top that Mum wanted to get but we din see it. Afterwards, we went to Far East Plaza to eat the Rojak but it was closed.

So, we went to Taka's MOS Burger to settle our dinner. It was shopping all the way, i went to check out my shoes & clothes. There was this pair of shoes that i wanted to get but they dun have sizes! Guess Sporeans are getting richer, I tot i was one of those few who re willing to spend more than $100 on a pair of shoes... Guess I m wrong!

We went to Cova to have desserts! Cove stuff are expensive but the food is good! So its worthwhile!

Anyway, i managed to get 2 pairs of shoes at Isetan Scotts. I tried to psycho Mum into getting a pair of shoe but failed! Nevertheless, i find myself satisfied just getting some retail therapy!

Lunch!

Lunch today was a busy affair! My colleague and I went to buy mooncakes!

My colleague has a friend who is working in OCBC and OCBC has this mooncake roadshow whereby the mooncakes from top notch hotels are having a 25% discount. This discount is more than what the major credit cards are offering!

I bought 2 boxes of durian mooncakes from Goodwood Park Hotel. One box for myself & family while the another box is for my parents in law.

After getting the mooncakes, my colleague drove us to McDonald to buy lunch. I was quite happy with my Chicken McNuggets lunch and i m still quite full with it now.

Just now, i had a small piece of lotus paste mooncake! It just tastes so good coz the yolk has oil in it! :)

A Satisfied Me!

Been bz for the past week with month end closing and BA2 to settle!

I m extremely satisfied as I finally had my DURIAN! Been having the urge to eat durian for the past few weeks, I din eat coz Mum told me that it will be too heaty plus there was no company to eat with me!

Today, i went home to have dinner and Mum told me that Hendrik (my "little son") will be dropping by.... The perfect excuse to have DURIANS! Hehehe, i ate quite a fair bit of the durians! My craving is satisfied and i guess i wont be eating it for a while!

Will going for my gynae appointment later on at 9am, followed by 2 beauty appointments and a lunch appointment! All the appointments are situated at Orchard area! Yippee! :)

Current craves~

Being a pregnant Mama, I have so much cravings till my dear hubby dunno how to react to them!

My current craves, Burger King breakfast, coffee ice cream, wanton noodles at Sunshine Plaza and pedicures!

Dun ask me about the food cravings, i can't explain! For pedicures, i can't bend over to cut my toenails... So, i find it a luxury to get my toenails done and painted nicely! Not to mention, getting my poor feet pampered! :)

Guess that explains y i m so broke!
