Back from the HK trip yesterday.
It was an experience travelling with Piglet. It wasn't a good start to begin with, our flight got delayed, the airconditioning was not working during the flight, Piglet's eczema acted up and not to mention STEWPIG behaviour from Pirate King.
I really wouldn't want to travel with Pirate King with or without Piglet. He will be the death of me! I believe i can cope by myself even if travelling alone with Piglet.
Anyway, i din do much on this trip except to show Piglet off to all the relatives and friends in HK and managed to get some shopping done for myself.
Will follow up with more posts on the reason for not wanting to travel with Pirate King.

Eczema Part 8 - Visit to the PD in HK
Claire had diahorrea on her 3rd day in HK and not to mention that her eczema flared up too!
So, we brought her to see the PD recommended by my cousin, Michael. This PD happens to be involved in the field of dermatology too and he has a plaque in his office that says, "Eczema Expert".
Dr Chow is a patient and caring PD. He knows how to distract Claire as Claire was in her "tear the house down" mode when he was taking her weight & height! Basically, what he said is the same as what Dr Chan said but he gave us a detailed explanation.
Its a godsend! The medication that he prescribed for Claire is working and she seems to have better skin now! I hope she will outgrow it fast!

Eczema Part 6 - KKH Visit
On Monday, 7th April 2008, Pirate King & my Mum brought Claire to KKH for her scheduled appointment to see a specialist on her eczema.
As usual, no matter how early you reached the hospital before your scheduled appointment time, you still have to wait like crazy in order to see the SO CALLED specialist at all government hospitals!
1st blooper of the day, the nurse requested Claire to be put on the weighing machine to record her weight. Guess what, the weighing machine and the measuring machine is very close to each other. And the measuring machine still has a newborn there, the moment Mum put Claire on to the weighing machine, Claire started to do her fave stunt - Kicking!
Guess Claire almost kicked the head of the newborn and the parents of the newborn was shooting eyes daggers at Mum! Anyway, its not Mum's fault. Another nurse immediately moved the measuring machine further away from the weighing machine!
2nd blooper of the day, the PD aka the SPECIALIST referred Claire to another SPECIALIST (paediatric dermatologist) in KKH for her eczema and the appointment date is scheduled on 4th July 2008. I was like WTF! By then, Claire might have outgrown her eczema already!
3rd blooper of the day, Pirate King forgotten to tell that SPECIALIST that Claire's eczema flared up even more when Claire is being fed soy formula (on the topic of changing milk powder).
When it comes to children, Men are usually careless on them. Sigh, the next appointment i can't even make it! Hopefully, i manage to find a new job and i m able to bring Claire there!

Smelly Pillow!
Claire has her own smelly pillow!
I discovered this unexpectedly. Last night, I saw her putting that beansprout pillow to her nose and smelled it several times!
This morning, Sis came in to play with her and i told Sis about her smelly pillow. Sis put the pillow near to Claire's nose and my silly gal smelled it!
Somehow i wonder, why the beansprout pillow that has Claire's poo strain, urine strain etc etc is her fave now?
Babies are funny creatures!

Its a bird! Its a plane! No, its Super Claire!
This cheeky gal of mine became Super Claire at 4.49am this morning!
Claire sleeps on my brother's bed whereas I sleep on the floor. This morning, I was sleeping soundly and instinctly I turned to sleep on my side.
The moment, I turned to my side. A loud thud was heard and I saw Claire in the crawling position on my mattress. She was looking around and giving me this mega watt smile! Thank god, the fall distance between her bed and my mattress was not that high! The amazing part is that she did not cry at all. Most babies would have cry for falling!
Anyway, i put her on her back and attempted to sleep. Unfortunately, she was so wide awake that she kept on kicking and singing song to herself. In the end, I went to the kitchen and prepared her feed.
As usual, she did not finish her milk and she refused to sleep till 6am. Guess what, she woke up at 7.30am again in time to see me leave for work!
I seriously dunno what to make of Claire but I do know that her mega watt smile is enough to melt every frustrations in raising her!
